A Food Establishment license is required of any person or company that prepares or serves food that is intended for immediate consumption. Examples of establishments that must be licensed are:
Guidance relating to Food Establishments is contained in the Maplewood City Code, Chapter 14, Article VI; Minnesota Statutes Section 145A and Section 157; and Minnesota Rules 4626. All license holders are required to be familiar with the provisions of this Chapter and with applicable Minnesota Statutes and federal regulations.
Applications for a Food Establishment license have been transitioned to an online licensing system (Accela) and is available for access via the Citizen Access portal.

License term runs March 1st through February 28th (29th during leap year), annually. Renewal must occur on or before date of expiration.
