A Used Car Dealer license is required of any person or company that regularly buys and sells used automobiles.
Guidance relating to Used Car Dealers is contained in the Maplewood City Code, Chapter 14, Article XIX. All license holders are required to be familiar with the provisions of this chapter and with applicable Minnesota Statutes and federal regulations.

The license application submitted under this subdivision shall be submitted to the City Clerk's Office. The City Clerk's Office will contact the building planner for review and comment. The building planner shall recommend approval or disapproval of the application and, when recommending disapproval, furnish in writing their reasons therefore. If a conditional use permit is required, the application and supporting documentation will be submitted to the City Council for approval.
Expiration / Renewal
License term runs July 1 through June 30, annually. Renewal must occur on or before date of expiration.
