Maplewood Success Stories

Success Personal Fitness

Success Fitness poised and interesting challenge for recycling as they do not own their building.  After meeting with Travis and having a look around Success Fitness, Waste Wise recommended that he add two recycling carts from the city, and improve the bins and signage inside the building in order to standardize collection practices and capture as much recyclable material as possible. In addition, Waste Wise recommended switching from the use of paper cups to plastic cups which could be easily recycled in the new single stream recycling program.

Ramsey County Care Center

Much like other care facilities, the Ramsey County Care center creates a lot of organic   food waste from operations.  Likewise, there is a significant amount of cardboard from products delivered to the facility.  As with recycling at all Ramsey County facilities, bottles, cans, and mixed paper are also collected to maximize what can be recycled from operations and also provide residents and visitors to the facility an opportunity to recycle.
