    Cancelled - The nature center trails are still open every day for exploring. (For Families with Children 4 & Under) Make nature discoveries and get resources to explore and protect your world together. Kids will look, sing, touch, sort, craft, and play, and adults will also learn about phenology and climate change in MN! Parents stay with their children during the entire class. Classes are taught in collaboration with a Naturalist and School district 622 Early Childhood Education staff. Fee: $5/child, prepay by Friday, March 20. (Adults) A Maplewood Nature Center Webinar Saturday, April 18, 2019, 1:00PM – 2:00PM The availability of nesting habitat is a critical yet often over-looked factor impacting native bee populations. This training will offer practical approaches to creating and managing a variety of nesting and overwintering habitat features for bees, including dead wood, stems, brush, rock piles, bare ground, leaf litter, and more. Approaches are relevant to gardeners, landscapers, natural resource professionals, and anyone interested in taking the next step in supporting pollinators. Instructed by researcher, Colleen Satyshur (University of MN), and Naturalist, Oakley Biesanz. Free! Donations appreciated.
