The Dennis-McClelland Area Street Improvements, City Project 19-10, is a full street reconstruction project with construction proposed to begin in May of 2020 and finish in October of 2020. The project includes many improvements to the neighborhood streets, including a full removal of the existing street, installation of two new pavement layers, new aggregate base layer, sand sub-base layer and new concrete curb and gutter. Utility improvements include the removal and replacement of the break-susceptible watermain system, installation of a new storm sewer system, and repairs to the existing sanitary sewer system. A concrete sidewalk is proposed along the north side of Upper Afton Road from Mayhill Road to Sterling Street to enhance pedestrian safety and consolidate crossings on Upper Afton Road.
