Following the guidance of the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and Governor Tim Walz, to help slow the spread of COVID-19, the All Parks Clean-uphas been changed for the safety of our participants, employees and the community at large. In lieu of handing out clean-up supplies on April 25th as originally planned, Maplewood Parks and Recreation is encouraging people to go plalking (picking up litter while walking) during Earth Week April 19 – 25. A fun way to do something great for your community while getting exercise in at the same time. Remember to wear gloves and take your trash bag with you or place it in a designated container. The City of Maplewood has closed playgrounds until further notice to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Park users are asked to stay away from play equipment during the closure. Our parks, trails and open spaces remain open but please avoid group activities and follow social distancing guidelines while enjoying them. Thanks for your understanding!
Thank you for helping keep Maplewood Parks and Open Spaces beautiful and Happy Plalking!
