  3. Fall Soccer Starter Clinic

    September 27, 2017, All Day @ Hazelwood Park Field 1

    For ages 4-9. Maplewood Parks and Rec is proud to offer our co-rec youth soccer starter program. The 3v3 format for ages 4-6, and 4v4 format for ages 7-9, will provide more touches, increased playing time, and most importantly, more fun! This program is 6 weeks in length and will be played Mondays or Wednesdays With the groups being split between the days. The sessions will be a combination of skill development/instruction and game play. An adult volunteer will be needed for each team. Register by August 24.

    Ages 16+. T'ai Chi Ch'uan, practiced in China for 2500 years, uses slow, relaxed movements to develop strength while eliminating tension. While doing so, you will strengthen your arms and legs, improve balance and flexibility, reduce stress, and help increase energy levels. A growing body of research also suggests that practicing T'ai Chi Ch'uan has many benefits, resulting in relaxation, improved balance, and a significant improvement in quality of life! Come experience the benefits for yourself! Class is taught with a traditional set of training ideals by Gold T'ai Chi Ch'uan group Head Instructor, Elaine Schrade.
