For ages 6-14. The advanced volleyball clinic will improve a player's all-around game. Not only will players train in all volleyball skills, but also their volleyball knowledge of real game situations to help prepare them to play in a team setting. If your child has completed one of our beginner clinics, this is the next step in the volleyball skill progression.
Prerequisite: Have attended a minimum of 3 Maplewood Parks and Rec Volleyball Clinic programs in the past. A tryout may be used in certain cases.
Knee pads required.

For ages 7-12. This camp is geared for younger rides of all skill levels. Campers will participate in grooming, tacking, and riding each day. Campers depart the Maplewood Community Center at 9:00 AM and return approx. 12:30 PM. Space is limited.
August 15, 2017, 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM @ Maplewood Community Center
For ages 3-6. Wish Upon a Ballet is a dance program for children that incorporates popular children's stories, as well as ballet stories to create a dance class that is more than ballet steps. Using musical instruments, parachutes, and scarves, we will create a complete fairy tale experience while we skip, leap, jump, and spin. This way an intro to the movements and vocab of ballet are taught in a fun and creative manner. Children will learn an appreciation of dance and music while developing strength and flexibility. Girls and boys will need ballet shoes. Girls should wear a leotard and tights. Boys should wear comfortable clothes they can move around in. Shoes will be available to order on the first day of class for an extra fee. Students must be potty trained.

For ages 4-6 and a parent. This innovative program gets parents on the court working with their kids. The kids will have fun learning basic tennis skills and hand-eye coordination. Lightweight rackets and smaller nets are provided. Parents should bring their own racket.

For ages 5-9. Looking for a more in-depth ballet class without losing creativity and fun? This class is your answer! We will use the Wish Upon a Ballet curriculum, but go even further into specific ballet technique. Your children will not only think it is fun, but will improve posture, strength, and flexibility in a positive and self-esteem building atmosphere. Dance is proven to not only build strong bodies, but strong minds and self-esteem! This class is for beginners, as well as student with previous dance experience. Ballet shoes are required.
August 15, 2017, 6:45 PM - 7:30 PM @ Maplewood Heights
For ages 7-9. Participants will learn all of the basic tennis strokes: serve, volley, and groundstrokes. Lively drills will keep the class fast-moving and loads of fun! Lightweight rackets are provided.
August 15, 2017, 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Maplewood Heights Park
For ages 12+. This program is for youth that have play experience and know the rules of the game. They will gain consistency while adding pace to their groundstrokes and serves. Students must bring their own rackets.
