AT DAYTRIPPERS DINNER THEATER
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7
LEAVE THE MAPLEWOOD PARKS AND RECREATION OFFICE AT 11:15AM AND RETURN AROUND 4:15PM
The Nutcracker's Nuts plot develops from the following premise: The residents of Simon's Rest, a retirement community in Frankfort, Michigan have been complaining about the quality of the holiday program. They are tired of the same boring production of "A Christmas Carol." The guy who plays Scrooge can't remember his lines anymore, and Tiny Tim is six feet tall. After the loss of their director, the program committee decides to look for another script. Not realizing it's a ballet, they plan a production of "The Nutcracker." When the residents find out it has a ballet, they want to back out but it's too late-the show is sold out and they come to realize the show must go on! Think of it as your only chance to see "The Nutcracker" performed with walkers! Enjoy a buffet style lunch that includes; chicken Kiev, roast loin of pork, and country sausage with sauerkraut as entrees; a salad bar, and a number of options as sides. Cost is $60.00 (includes transportation, buffet lunch, tax, gratuity, and theater ticket).
